For 40 years, The Choir has carved out a singular lane in alternative rock, blending shimmering guitars, poetic lyrics, and a live energy that feels equal parts cinematic and intimate. Formed in Southern California in the early 1980s and now based in Nashville, the band is made up of Derri Daugherty (guitar, vocals), Steve Hindalong (drums, vocals), and Dan Michaels (saxophone, electronic winds).
The Never Say Never Again Tour celebrates that four-decade run and brings extra energy with special guests Matt Slocum (guitar) and Justin Carey (bass) from Sixpence None the Richer joining the band onstage. Expect a set that moves from lush, atmospheric classics to sharp-edged rock moments.
Having played more than 1,000 shows, The Choir still performs like they have something to prove. Along the way, they have earned a GRAMMY nomination for Flap Your Wings, and a reputation as road-tested performers who have played iconic rooms like CBGB in New York City, The Cotton Club in Atlanta, The Troubadour and The Roxy in Los Angeles.
In 2026, The Choir releases Dragonfly, their 20th album, a double set of 20 songs.
